14 May 2020 – Seminar on COVID-19 for Pediatric Oncology Nurses

Nursing challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic will be the topic when an expert panel of pediatric oncology nurses participate in a COVID Conversations webinar Thursday, May 14, at 8 a.m (Chicago time). The panel will discuss various responses to these challenges by institutions and nursing organizations globally. Liz Sniderman, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC, CPHON, St. Jude Global Nursing Coordinator, is moderator for the event.

The panelists included Julia Challinor RN, PhD; Lisa Morrissey, MPH, MSN, RN, CPHON; Rehana Punjwani, RN, BSN; and Lisa Kennedy Sheldon, PhD, ANP-BC, AOCNP, FAAN, representatives of SIOP, Oncology Nursing Society and The Indus Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. COVID Conversations is a weekly webinar to discuss difficult issues, address pressing questions and learn from the experiences of our colleagues when it comes to caring for children with cancer during this pandemic. 8 April 2020 – Seminar on COVID-19 for Pediatric Oncology Nurses

Seminar on COVID-19 for Pediatric Oncology Nurses on Wednesday, April 8th at 8:30 AM Memphis, presented by the St. Jude Global Nursing and Asia Pacific programs, in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital, VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and National University Hospital, Singapore.

This webinar is intended to provide pediatric oncology nurses with key knowledge about COVID-19, including clinical information, PPE recommendations, and considerations for our vulnerable population. Experiences in managing the COVID-19 pandemic will be shared by nurses from impacted areas around the world.
